About EgyptAir

More than 400 weekly flights depart from Cairo and many other Egyptian cities to 94 international domestic destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. The network has been extended to new destinations in the Far East to Singapore Sydney and in South Africa like Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, the latest new destination to Casablanca (Morocco) and Aden (Yemen). Tripoli and BenGhazi (Libya) were lately operated.

EgyptAir History

EgyptAir was one of the pioneer airlines in the world and the most important in the Middle East and the Arab countries. It was established in May 1932, under the name of Misr Air work. After the revolution in 1952, the Egyptian Government made considerable resources available to the airline thus enabling it to upgrade its aircraft, equipment workshops and training facilities to the standards of other international airlines. In October 1971, the company took the name EgyptAir.
